Attachment based research informs Small Friends' use of  a key person approach.

We value the importance of early relationships at Small Friends and their life long impact on happiness, health and emotional development. Your child will have a key member of staff at Small Friends who will aim to develop a positive relationship and secure attachment with them to help nurture their Personal, Social and Emotional development, providing the underpinning to all-round healthy development.

Your child's key person will be who works with you to make sure that what we provide is right for your child's particular needs, emotional well-being and interests. When your child first starts with us, the key person will help your child settle and feel secure throughout their time at Small Friends.

As well as gaining qualifications in early years care and education, Small Friends staff take part in further training to help them to keep up-to-date with best practice and thinking about early years care, emotional well being and education.
